Last week we had our first family vacation! Eli loved the pool and beach! He got so excited when a wave was coming. He also enjoyed for us to stroll him on the beach and then would nap under the umbrella. The only downfall of the week was Eli did not sleep very well. We packed all kinds of stuff to help ensure great sleep for our entire little family... Hopefully better luck next year! Here are some pictures from the week:
We are still working on transitioning to the crib. Last night was not as good asWednesday night... But we are working at it. I think Eli is teething. He has stopped taking the bottle for D, is refusing the sippy cup, and isn't a huge fan of the paci right now. I sure hope this passes soon!
In the mean time someone else has taken up with the paci! Look where I found it today... Bella's bed! What am I going to do with this dog?!
I planned on Eli sleeping in his crib pretty much right away... He still hasn't slept a night in his bed. But here we are tonight trying again... He is only 7 1/2months old! Praying he sleeps in there all night! This is my view... I just keep watching the monitor!
Today we went to see dr. love and Eli was diagnosed with hands, foot and, mouth disease. There its nothing we can do for it, just wait it out. so, mom called in tonight to have the night home to love on her sick baby. Eli has gained a pound in the last month!! He weighed 17pounds and 11.5 ounces. We gave him some advil tonight and are hoping for a better nights rest!!
Well as I type I am cuddled up with a sweaty little boy. I am supposed to be at work taking care of my patients, but I had to leave early to come take care of my boy! There its no place I would rather be than with my arms around him, but it is breaking my heart that he is sick! His fever spiked back up for Daddy and he refused the bottle so Mommy came home! We are going to the dr in the afternoon to see whats going on with our little man. Pray for our sweet boy please.
It is the cutest thing. He loves to stick out his tongue! And smiles while doing so!! We can't believe how fast he its growing up.
Today Eli and I spent the day at home working on ways to soothe his reflux. I did end up giving in and getting his prescription filled and we will start that in the morning. I have been nervous about that. Here are a few pictures from the day:
